Merghelynck Museum

At the Merghelynck Museum, you walk through elegant salons, mirrored rooms and playful boudoirs. Everything in the house breathes the 18th century. The wonderful art collection was collected by Arthur Merghelynck in the 19th century. It includes unique porcelain, furniture in refined marquetry, ornate paintings, musical instruments, utensils and typical 18th-century design. You will imagine yourself in the wig era!

Activity: During the weekend of Art in Ypres, the painting, ceramics and word and classical singing classes of The Academy present their creations. They drew inspiration for their works from Arthur Merghelynck’s versatile collection. You can reserve a time slot for this activity here.
