The Ypres museums, the academy, the cultural centre and the art galleries jointly organise the annual event “Art in Ypres”. During this weekend, art takes centre stage in multiple forms. We invite the residents of Ypres, but also art lovers from outside Ypres to come and experience art in the city. The galleries can be visited during this weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
On Friday evening, there will be a keynote by Willem Elias “Art, the unmissable misery” in the historical setting of the old post office building in Rijselstraat. Merghelynck Museum by reservation only
