Sonic, Knuckles and Tails reunite to fight a powerful new foe, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike any they’ve faced before. Undeterred by their abilities, Sonic’s gang must find an unlikely alliance. Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Krysten Ritter, Colleen O’Shaughnessey and Lee Majdoub share hobbies that may surprise their fans. The creators of the previous films mentioned that they played both Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2001) and Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) as inspiration for the standalone game. The film also draws on narrative elements from the Saturday morning animated television series Sonic the Hedgehog (1993). Featured in Geeks + Gamers: Sonic 3- Trailer Reaction (2024). Sonic The Hedgehog 3 is the best of the trilogy. Best writing, best characterization, great humor, and Keanu Reeves is like a shadow. This movie is different from the original 2, obviously the tone of the movie, this movie. It’s a soul adaptation of Sonic Adventure 2 and they handled it better than I thought. The depiction of Shadow’s past is hauntingly beautiful, not to mention his flawless CGI model, and I was very impressed with his appearance. Jim Carrey was hilarious as usual, he was absolutely amazing in our franchise, he was Ivo & Gerald. Ben Schwartz, Colleen & Idris shined like never before. As a huge Sonic fan, this movie lived up to my expectations of what it was like to be a Sonic fan! Easily one of the best songs in Sonics history. 9/10.
