She soon encounters much more than expected as she moves deeper into the nightmarish old building

The film crew of the horror web series is sent to an abandoned shelter for a live broadcast. The filmmakers were unable to get permission from the South Korean government to film in a real hospital, so the walls in the film shot in Gongjiam were actually filmed at the National Maritime School in Busan, and the crew strictly adhered to the hospital’s floor plan to recreate exactly the same appearance and corridors.

Charlotte continues to look away when the group is in front of the hospital. She obviously answers, smiling at who it was.
This does not apply to “Gonjiam: Ghostly Asylum”
I’m usually critical of found-footage horror, because they’re usually unnecessary and don’t add anything to the story. Usually, found footage films are better suited to a “regular” film.
There is little shaky camera and other “effects” that you usually see in found footage, which, in my opinion, spoils the film
With new advanced technology and the reason why the actors know how to work with the camera, the film serves its purpose perfectly. The story itself is quite standard: 7 young “ghost hunters” end up in an old insane asylum, mainly for the sake of views and profit, which makes it more realistic than other similar films.
If you want a scary film without a particular plot, this film for you
The pace of the film is quite slow, and nothing happens in the first half, but it’s worth it! Originally, I wanted to give this film a 6, but considering that it is a horror film, and one of the scariest in its subgenre that I have ever seen, I raised it to a 7.
